This project was research and deliverable-based, and was in partnership with Whitworth's IT department. After having research approved by Whitworth's IRB, my project partner and I proceeded to create a prototype of an often-used student-facing webpage that the IT team hoped to create a new design for. Our findings were submitted to the team for further development at its conclusion.

While learning HTML, CSS, and Javascript, I created this website to further my learning and create a space I could host some of my work on. I custom coded the pages and used Bootstrap for responsive design as well as headers and footers. Only minor updates were made to the about page so it accurately represents my learning as of the end of 2021.

This is a compilation of projects that I created while learning how to use the Adobe Suite. The portfolio was created in XD.

I connected a domain registrar, CDN, and hosting without prior website experience besides design work. I quickly learned how DNS records and SSL certificates worked. Feel free to explore as most things here are skills that I learned, e.g. logo design/favicon, plugin research, json integration, colors, animations, etc.

I designed and prototyped a custom video player for By the Book, a nonprofit startup. Once the prototypes were functional, we conducted user research on current clients to gain useful feedback.

This was a project that required me to take the contents and images of a site from the 90's and attempt to lay them out in a modern format. I chose Adobe's website, and was able to mockup a responsive site that contained the elements and content from the original site.

Carl Maxey website redesign
During a span of a week, I helped to design a website for the Carl Maxey Center, a non-profit in Spokane. We chose to build it in Six to create a seamless transition for the company, whose non-technical founders were more comfortable with it. A different design was ultimately picked, so the project concluded as extensive website design practice. As there is no link, feel free to contact me for more information.

Mobile Apps Research
I researched and wrote a paper on the history of mobile applications, including the rise and fall of certain mobile operating systems. The paper was written for a class and will be used as reading for future classes. Read it here.

Front-End Engineering Internship
In January 2022, I worked with a group of 7 other Whitworth students to help Drip7, a local cybersecurity information company, to fix bugs and perform quality control on the UI. We assisted over a 3.5 weeklong period to help the company prepare for its V2 launch. Check out their website!
